阿妹台東唱跨年 旅館現已一房難求！Hotels in Taitung see boom over A-Mei New Year concert

Since Taiwanese pop diva A-Mei announced that she will hold a free concert in Taitung on New Year’s Eve, hotels there have seen 80 percent of its accommodation services booked on days around the concert, making Taitung an even more popular spot for celebrating the New Year.

Besides accommodation, transportation will be a challenge for fans planning to attend the concert. About 120,000 tourists are expected to go to Taitung. Many have already complained about not being able to get a train ticket or make a hotel reservation.

The 48-year-old pop star of indigenous Puyuma descent was born and raised in Taitung. The concert is dedicated to her hometown and will highlight the best from her world tours.
