電影院關閉 大片只能延期或改上串流Movie Industry Suffers as Blockbusters Cancelled or Postponed

The movie industry is experiencing an extremely hard time due to the global pandemic. With movie theaters shuttered all over the world and hundreds of millions of people ordered to stay at home, it is still unclear when life will return to normal and whether people would like to see movies in theaters again anytime soon.

Therefore, many movie studios are taking a wait-and-see approach to the pandemic. For example, Disney postponed films like the Marvel title Black Widow and the Pixar title Soul. Some studios have decided to shift their films to streaming services. For example, Paramount sold one of its comedies to Netflix, and Universal released the animated film Trolls: World Tour on demand for $19.99.

If the pandemic continues, it is likely that the movie industry will suffer even greater losses.

少了這些大片的票房收入，今年看來會是電影業非常嚴峻的一年。
