不再忍痛 日本女性抵制上班穿高跟鞋規定Japanese Women Say No to Painful Dress Code

Dress codes at many Japanese firms are very strict. More than 60% of Japanese women with jobs have been forced to wear heels at work or have seen colleagues doing so. Female staff in some department stores must walk around the shop in 5cm heels. Some ban glasses for women (but not men) because glasses do not look good.

The Japanese government does not officially ban the dress code, but the society is slowing changing. Japan Airlines allows its female flight attendants to take off their heels and wear pants. All three big mobile-phone companies have relaxed their rules on heels, too.

因此，日本女性呼應反性騷擾運動「#me too」，取日文鞋子（kutsu）與疼痛（kutsuu）的第一個音節，發起「＃KuToo」運動，要求禁止公司強制規定女員工穿高跟鞋，並提倡廢止女性在工作場合要穿高跟鞋的文化。
儘管日本政府回應目前不會禁止企業的服裝規定，但不少企業已開始改善，放寬員工的服儀規定。有人認為，女性應有權利選擇適合自己的服飾，而不應該受到社會期待限制，你認為呢？

服儀規定的英文就是dress code，code除了有我們常聽到的「代碼」意思之外，也是指規則、規範，或習俗。
