When asking what people do for a living, you may say: “what do you do for a living?” or “what is your occupation?” or “what type of work do you do?” Responses to those questions can be: “I’m a salesman.” or “I’m in the toy business.” When people inquire about what kind of company you work for, you may reply: “I work for US Bank.” or “I work at HL law firm.”
