One morning a fox sees a rooster. He thinks, “This is my breakfast.”
He comes up to the rooster and says,”I know you can sing very well. Can you sing for me?”
The rooster is glad. He closes his eyes and begins to sing.
The fox sees that and catches him in his mouth and carries him away.
The people in the field see the fox. They cry, “Look, look! The fox is carrying the rooster away.”
The rooster says to the fox, “Mr Fox, do you understand? The people say you are carrying their rooster away. Tell them it is yours. Not theirs.”
The fox opens his mouth and says, “The rooster is mine, not yours.”
Just then the rooster flies away.
狐狸心想：他就是我的早餐。
他跟上公雞，然後對公雞說：「我知道你唱歌很好聽，你能為我唱首歌嗎？」
公雞聽了很開心。於是，他閉上眼睛開始唱歌。
狐狸看到了，趕緊用嘴咬住公雞並把他帶走了。
現場的人看到了這隻狐狸，
他們大叫：「快看，快看，狐狸把公雞抓走了！」
公雞對狐狸說：「狐狸，你聽見了嗎？那些人說你把他們的公雞抓跑了。快點告訴他們，公雞是你的，不是他們的！」
狐狸張開了嘴說，「這隻公雞是我的，不是你們的。」
就在這時候，公雞逃走了。
