英國凱特王妃（Kate Middleton）即將產下第二胎寶寶，為了迎接皇室新成員，日前當地一家公司特別舉辦「柯基短跑」競賽，藉比賽結果預測寶寶的性別與名字。

根據《鏡報》報導，因英國女王伊莉莎白二世喜愛而聲名大噪的柯基犬，向來都被視為英國皇室象徵，當地一家博彩公司為此舉辦一場「皇家柯基犬短跑」比賽，藉由10隻不同名字的柯基犬競賽，預測皇室新成員的性別與名字。

比賽結果由一隻名為亞歷珊卓（Alexandra）的母柯基犬以4.32秒獲得第一名，因此博彩公司推測，即將臨盆的凱特王妃將產下一名小公主，而且還會取名為亞歷珊卓。10隻柯基一字排開，分別穿著有自己名字的衣服，當柵欄升起，全力往前衝的模樣惹笑了許多網友，這也讓這家企業的創意散播到全球各地。

If a group of corgis have any say, Prince William and Duchess Kate can cross off an important item on their baby to-do list as they await the birth of their second child next month.

The dogs, competing in what was billed as the world’s first-ever corgi race, have already predicted the baby’s name: Alexandra.

The corgi race, dubbed “The Ladbrokes Barkingham Palace Gold,” was organized by Ladybrokes, a U.K.-based online betting and gaming company.

 A YouTube video of the race shows around 10 corgis lined up to race wearing sashes with possible royal baby names. The race’s announcer says the odds-on favorite for the girl’s name was Elizabeth, the namesake of the baby’s great-grandmother, and James for the boys, an 8 to 1 favorite.

In the end though, it was the corgi wearing an Alexandra sash that won it all.

“Alexandra will be the name that Kate and Will opt for next month, I’m absolutely convinced of it,” said a second announcer after the race. “I’m off to go and place a bet right now myself.”

Prince William and Duchess Kate are already parents to a son, Prince George. The 1-year-oldprince’s full name is George Alexander Louis.

The royal couple has revealed neither Kate’s exact due date nor the sex of their second child.
